Dandelion Clocks

I still love finding a Dandelion and making a wish and blowing all the little seeds away
Makes me feel like a little kid all over again!

Pappa Bear and I are making our old wardrobe in our room, into a recess for the bed. Fear not we will be replacing the wardrobe but as an open storage space on another wall with shelves as well as clothes racks but that will be another post...

I've been looking into using a wallpaper in our bedroom as part of our renovations (in the recess as a feature) and I came across the most beautiful retro print from Sanderson which I have fallen head over heels in love with. I didn't want anything that looked too modern or was too fussy and not in-keeping with the style of our house, which was built in the 1950's.

Dandelion Clocks - Wallpaper
It comes in many different colours to suit any taste.

Or if the wallpaper is too much for your taste why not try
Elegant Wing Back Chairs
Or you could spruce up with a new bed cover
Matching Sanderson Linen Sets
Last but not least before I get you all obsessed with this print

Well I hope you enjoyed will let you know if I talk Pappa Bear into letting me spend $80 per roll of wallpaper or if I manage to find someway to re create this myself

Owl Bunting

Hello pretties,
Hope you are all doing smashingly =)

I seem to be making a habit of blogging about my obsessions and yes owls are another very public guilty pleasure of mine. I have a very obsessive personality!!!
I think this may have started with my love of the movie Labyrinth and that Jareth the Goblin King played by the luxurious David Bowie *swoon* turns into a snowy owl.....

I thought I'd post about these wee paper owls I spent days creating but not many people have seen!!
Originally they were to be put on invites to my baby shower, but alas that never happened.
Scrapbook Paper Owls

I have since then made them into Bunting and put them up on the wall in Jasper Bears room.
On wall, Bunting!!
To make these simple owls I just used a pack of Scrap booking paper and mix-matched the prints for all the different parts.

*For the owl body I drew an M shape and cut it out with a flat bottom
*Oval shapes for the eyes
*A half circle shape for the tummy
*And a pair of wings

I drew on the eye balls and beak with a black permanent marker pen.

I hope you like, Owl see you later (lame joke I know, but had to be done!!)

Marilyn Monroe

A style Icon

A screen goddess

A sex symbol

A philosopher........?!

Yes she has said some of the most inspirational quotes which have really shaped me and entertained me. What a funny wee soul she must have been. I have read four biographies, watched all her movies, dressed up as her on countless occasions, and have pictures of her all over my house!

I hope these quotes may touch you as they have me.

What do I wear to bed? Why, Chanel No.5 of course.
-Marilyn Monroe

We should all start to live before we get too old. FEAR IS STUPID. SO ARE REGRETS.
- Marilyn Monroe

Being a sex symbol is a heavy load to carry, especially when one is tired, hurt and bewildered
-Marilyn Monroe

I'm selfish, Impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.
- Marilyn Monroe

I knew I belonged to the public and to the world, not because I was talented or even beautiful, but because I had never belonged to anything or anyone else.
-Marilyn Monroe

I'm not interested in money. I just want to be WONDERFUL!!
-Marilyn Monroe

Have a wonderful day my friends xx

When life throws you lemons.......

Make these delish Lemon Custards =)

These are my all time favorite deserts and they are easy peasy lemon squeezy!!
I made these for Papa Bears birthday and they went down an absolute treat as always!

Ingredients:
3 Lemons
3/4 cup caster sugar
3/4 cup cream
4 eggs

Need: 6 ramekins and bake dish.

Oven heated at 150ÂșC
*Juice the 3 lemons
*Crack in the eggs
*Add cream and sugar
*Then whisk all ingredients together in a bowl.
*Pour mix into the ramekins and fill the baking dish with hot water,
so that it sits halfway up sides of ramekins

*Place in oven for 20-25mins
*Custards will be done when top is spongey and inside is still wobbly. Place in fridge to cool. Then serve =)
