Crushing on....

I'm loving on this song at the moment and I absolutely love Robyn's style.
You could recreate this look with this stunning jumper by Camilla and Marc from NZ stockist Superette

These graphic print pants are pretty awesome from Forever 21

I'm not too sure about the bright red shoes, but how about these studded creepers, which come with a white pen to doodle all over and really personalise, found here at ASOS

Here are some more pics of Robyn for your viewing pleasure

Happy listening and tell me what you think of Robyn's style xxx

P.s don't you think she looks like Tank Girl in that last pic =)

DIY: Terrarium

So one of the little projects I have been wanting to undertake was to make a terrarium!!

On the weekend after a delicious lunch out with Bubba and Pappa Bear, we stopped off at a local garden centre to pick up some supplies.

I had this vase, which was a wedding gift, sitting around doing nothing...
Here are the plants which ranged from $3 to the funky white Dr Seuss looking trees which were $7.50
I started by putting rocks for drainage at the bottom of the vase, this helps the soil from retaining too much water
Then adding a thick layer of this potting mix
Then placing the plants into soil and getting them nice and snug pushing the soil firmly around the roots
I've left a bit of room as the gasteria glomerata the deep green tounge looking succulent will grow an amazing flower stalk like this

I then topped them with some tiny pebbles and crushed shell.
I made a 2nd but not too sure on the arrangement, may have to do some more practice and add something more?!?!
Have you tried this easy indoor garden for yourself?!
Will you give it a go now?!

Take care xx

12 Weeks

 1st cuddle
My precious little dude is 12 weeks today and I can't believe it has come around so quickly, it only felt like yesterday I was huge and balloon like and waiting anxiously on his arrival!

A few days before!!
He is the funniest wee thing and always has a gigantic dimply smile on his face!! He is laughing and chattering away to himself as I type this, doing his attempted raspberry blowing and watching the dog guard his beloved teddy bear from the impending 'threat' is the babies flailing arms!

Me and my Jasper Bear
Jasper has, in the last few weeks, found his hands and sucks away on them constantly. His face covered in drooly slobber and his hands - most often his index and middle finger of his right hand - shoved deep into his gummy mouth!

We tried him out in his Jolly Jumper last night, I think it may take a little while to get used to. We know he is strong already and I know first hand how great of a kicker he was going to be and these last 12 weeks have proved that too, gaining himself a 'wiggly' nickname

I have started to feel more human again instead of the initial sleep deprived milk machine, we are now on formula and I feel like I have myself and my boobs back!! I am also limiting myself to only two pj days a week and am hoping to start some new hobbies such as

*french knitting
*making a terrarium
*restoration - currently Pappa and I are working on our new fire surround (I'll post soon)
*learning and perfecting some new baking recipes =)

Until next time xx
