On the weekend after a delicious lunch out with Bubba and Pappa Bear, we stopped off at a local garden centre to pick up some supplies.
I had this vase, which was a wedding gift, sitting around doing nothing...
Here are the plants which ranged from $3 to the funky white Dr Seuss looking trees which were $7.50
I started by putting rocks for drainage at the bottom of the vase, this helps the soil from retaining too much water
Then adding a thick layer of this potting mix
Then placing the plants into soil and getting them nice and snug pushing the soil firmly around the roots
I've left a bit of room as the gasteria glomerata the deep green tounge looking succulent will grow an amazing flower stalk like this
I then topped them with some tiny pebbles and crushed shell.
I made a 2nd but not too sure on the arrangement, may have to do some more practice and add something more?!?!
Have you tried this easy indoor garden for yourself?!
Will you give it a go now?!
Take care xx
